1. What is it ?

Description: KGraphSpace is a KDE utility which draws a pie chart of the disk space. You can easily navigate in folders and subfolders with mouse doubleclick and the tree. KGraphSpace can compress big files and folders in the gzip or bzip2 format. Then, you can make space when need.

Now, KGraphSpace supports big disks larger than 4 GB, with the 64 bits sizes. It support a powerful option: autorefresh, which updates the tree and the chart, when files and directories of the disk are changed !

Please, report all bugs you find in the application.

The last version of KGraphSpace for KDE 1.x is 0.1.5.6. You can download it from the download page

 

 

To compile sources, you need a C++ compiler. First, expand the sources: bzip2 -dc kgraphspace-x.y.z.tar.bz2 | tar x Then, cd in the main directory of the project, and type ./configure && make && make install. (don't forget the point before configure)

To install a binary version from a RPM package, you need the RPM utility, and you type: rpm -ivh kgraphspace-x.y.z.i686.rpm

4. Contribute

Everybody is welcome to contribute to the KGraphSpace project. To do it, just e-mail to the author, and write him what you can do. Please, before making any change in the project, download the latest version: don't make changes in an older version !

You needn't to be programmer to contribute. We also need to do:

* Translate the source code and to documentation

* Write the documentation

* Test (beta-testers)

* Draw new icons

If you need it, Sourceforge allows us to use a CVS server for this project. If you need it to work on KGraphSpace, I can open you an account.
